Using a super wide portrait lens for a lost places shooting. Why not?

I had the possibility to test the Tamron 18-300mm super-zoom lens for the Fujifilm X-mount in comparison to the Fujinon 70-300mm Tele-zoom. Here are my thoughts and findings.
