Cine Expansion Kit V4.0

Before we all go to a well-deserved end-of-the-year-break and enjoy time with family and loved ones, we would like to give you an update from CEK-HQ:

The camera industry is fast and always evolving, so it is a challenge to stay up to date when it comes to new technology - interesting for the CEK and its intended use). During this year’s IBC it was clear that the two new cinema cameras from CANON and NIKON, the C50 and ZR are a perfect match for the CEK. So we jumped right back to the drawing board and developped the version for these two. Right now, the prototype is ready and being rigged into a fully working camera as we speak.

This brings the total amount of ‘sensor options’ for the Cine X One Pro to six: FUJIFILM’s X-H2s (6k open gate), FUJIFILM’s X-H2 (8k), SONY FX3 and FX30 (full frame and Super 35), CANON C50 (7k open gate) and NIKON ZR (full frame 6k).

A cinema camera is more than only its sensor, we are constantly working on further improvements when it comes to accessories, cable management and handling on the rig. As the CEK is first of all intended to be used with PL-mount cine optics, the choice of PL-mount adapter is of utmost importance. We love and trust the DZOfilm Octopus adapter series (currently for FUJIFILM X-, SONY E- and Canon RF-mount) as they open up the whole universe of professional, sometimes iconic cine optics to be used with modern and compared to longstanding cine cameras, super affordable options.

The first important day of 2026 will be the 17th of January: At the CREATOR’S SUMMIT in Bayreuth all CEK options will be on display, waiting for you to have a close look, try it out and talk to industry professionals.
